My talking points will focus on controllable and networked systems; interoperability and compatibility as two efforts to drive increased penetration of controllable systems. The integration of lighting and building management systems will bring additional stakeholders into the market and enhance the energy reduction value. (We are in a climate crisis) Consumer awareness and economy-wide sustainability goals as drivers to project design and product selection. The increased flexibility of lighting fixtures (hopefully to mitigate many issues related to lighting quality) can also address sustainability of lighting projects.
